Robert Walters is one of the leading international recruitment consultancies with 35 offices in 15 countries. The company was asked to supply an integrated recruitment and assessment solution for one of its blue-chip clients wishing to set up a ‘flagship’ Business Service Centre. Informed Assessment worked in partnership with Robert Walters to supply the assessment resource for the project which involved 35 separate Assessment Centres.
The client in question embarked on an ambitious programme which involved the re-structuring of the finance team to a demanding timescale. Informed Assessment worked with the Robert Walters project team and the client’s senior line managers and HR team to deliver a robust assessment process.
Prior to the assessments, Informed Assessment supported the roll-out of briefing sessions so that internal candidates understood how and why these were taking place.
The assessment process itself drew on a comprehensive range of techniques, tailored to the levels of the roles being assessed, but including ability testing, personality assessment, competency interviews and group-based work simulation exercises suitable for both an internal and external candidate pool.
In just a few weeks over 1,700 applications were received by Robert Waltersand over 220 internal and external staff assessed by Informed Assessment.
The logistics of the process were challenging, with assessments required in two different UK locations, at times simultaneously, against different levels of roles, followed by a rolling programme of feedback to managers and candidates.
