As part of a recent selection assignment for a senior management appointment, RCG was keen to incorporate as much objective and relevant information on each candidate’s suitability to facilitate the final recruitment decision. Reflecting this, Mike Ahern (a Director of RCG) invited Informed Assessment to undertake a psychometric assessment of the candidates on the final shortlist.
The online psychometric assessment process consisted of two critical reasoning tests and SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ).
The timed tests provided an insight into each candidate’s ability to reason quickly and accurately with written information and numerical data. Comprehensive OPQ Manager Plus Reports were produced for each candidate, to provide an overview of their typical approach to different tasks and situations. In addition, the reports included an expert analysis of their likely performance against a range of key competencies proven to be important at work.
As the assessments were completed online, it meant that candidates could choose when and where to complete them, enhancing the flexibility and convenience of the process. Furthermore, the online medium enabled the results to be passed on extremely quickly to the selection consultant and client.
